Only listed diseases that existed before handover are covered, supported by a licensed veterinarian’s diagnosis and records.

The period starts at actual handover: Standard 72 hours, Extended 336 hours. Report symptoms immediately, within 12 hours of noticing them and within the plan period, through the dossier, phone, WhatsApp or email. The team may register a timely notification. Do not delay care for paperwork; diagnosis, treatment and documents may be added later, including after expiry for a claim reported in time.

Mandatory veterinary examination: take the puppy to a licensed veterinarian within the first 2 working days after arrival and actual handover. The handover day, weekends and public holidays in the destination country are excluded. Keep a dated report identifying the puppy and recording the findings. This records health after arrival; infections or other problems may develop later, while stress and adjustment can affect wellbeing. Under the commercial guarantee, a missed examination may lead to refusal of a later claim if it prevents proof of the coverage conditions, considering all available veterinary records. Statutory rights are not automatically rejected. Seek immediate care for symptoms; this examination does not extend the guarantee or notification period.

Standard is included, without treatment reimbursement. For a confirmed covered pre-existing disease, the commercial remedy is an agreed puppy return and refund of the agency’s collected commission after return. Breeder-collected amounts are addressed separately with the breeder. A return requires safe arrangements and veterinary approval; medically unstable animals are not transported before stabilisation.

If an agreed commercial guarantee remedy requires returning the puppy, the customer arranges and pays for return transport, after agreeing the details in writing with the team and only with veterinary approval that transport is safe. A medically unstable animal must not be transported before being stabilised. This rule does not apply where mandatory law requires the seller or guarantor to pay for the return, including as part of a statutory remedy for non-conformity.

Commercial guarantee exclusions: giardiasis (Giardia), coccidiosis and other parasitic infections; kennel cough, including canine parainfluenza virus infection; minor illnesses outside the list of covered diseases, as diagnosed by a veterinarian; behavioural, temperament, adjustment or training issues; other diseases outside the selected plan or acquired after handover; accidents, poisoning and swallowing objects; problems caused by inappropriate food changes or failure to follow veterinary advice where causation is documented. Diagnosis and treatment are the veterinarian’s responsibility.

Diarrhoea, appetite loss, lethargy and coughing are symptoms; a veterinarian establishes the diagnosis and severity. Seek veterinary care promptly and do not delay consultation for paperwork.

The team reviews the diagnosis, tests, timeline, health booklet and treatment, may request further information, and records a reasoned decision on the claim in the dossier. Documents are private.

This commercial guarantee is additional to, and does not affect, free statutory remedies against the seller for non-conformity. Claims based on statutory rights are considered separately.
