What else you should know:

Contractual information is available in the terms and conditions of use and can be consulted when submitting your order.

We do not perform or in any way support ear or tail docking practices. We respect our commitment to animal welfare and promote the breeding and care of animals in accordance with animal welfare rules and legislation.

You can choose this preference on the order form in the Vaccination section, where you will find the option "Export Ready". To travel to the European Union, pets need a passport. This can be issued by your veterinarian from the age of 3 months, once the rabies vaccination has been carried out. If you choose delivery to a country other than Romania, the puppy will be shipped after 3 months and 3 weeks of age, at which point it will be vaccinated against rabies, microchipped and will have an international passport.

If you would like your puppy to be accompanied by a Pedigree certificate, please select the appropriate option when placing your order. This document certifies the pedigree of the dog and the authenticity of the breed, and is issued by specialized organizations. We recommend that you consider this option if you want to participate in dog shows or have the guarantee of a pure genetic line.

Transportation in Romania

Puppies can be transported to the client's city, depending on the availability of our routes. If delivery cannot be made to a specific city, this will be communicated in advance to find an optimal solution for the puppy's delivery.
Currently, direct delivery to the customer's address is not possible.

International transport

If you opt for delivery outside Romania, the puppy can only be shipped after the age of 3 months and 3 weeks, at which time it will be vaccinated against rabies, microchipped and will have an international passport. Be sure to choose the Ready for Export option in the Vaccination section when submitting your order.
If transportation cannot be made to the customer's city, this will be communicated in advance in order to identify a convenient delivery solution.
We do not currently offer transportation to the exact address of the customer.

Countries and cities served

  • Switzerland
  • Germany: Passau, München, Nürnberg, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Köln
  • Italy: Padua, Verona, Milan, Bologna, Florence, Rome
  • Moldova: Chisinau
  • Netherlands: Eindhoven, Breda

If you have questions about transportation or other destinations, please contact us for more information.

We deliver our puppies as soon as possible, but never before the minimum age of 8 weeks, which may vary by breed. Although we want to get your puppy to you as soon as possible, it is essential to respect this interval, both for the puppy's sake and for your own comfort. Premature separation can make care and adaptation considerably more difficult or even jeopardize the puppy's health.

The estimated time to delivery, shown on each breed's page, may be influenced by your preference of sex, size, color or vaccination schedule. For this reason, please take it as a guide. During the selection process, we will keep you up to date with updated information.

For pedigree puppies, identification and verification may take up to 3 months, depending on national availability at the time of order. If you decline a proposal on a puppy, the order remains active and the identification process continues and we will come back with alternatives. In this situation, the delivery time will be extended by the estimated period specified on the page of the breed ordered.

Internal deworming is an essential process in the first months of a puppy's life and is rigorously carried out before each vaccination to eliminate intestinal parasites and pathogens such as Giardia. This can be carried out either by the veterinarian or the breeder, depending on the situation.

We recommend that both internal and external de-worming be carried out within the first week of your puppy's arrival to ensure complete parasite elimination and proper preparation for the next vaccine according to the vaccination schedule. External deworming is indicated immediately after the first bath, followed by a period of 24 hours during which direct contact with the treated area should be avoided.

We are glad to see that you are thinking about training, as it is very important. Puppies are not generally trained before leaving, it is up to the breeder what education they choose to provide the puppy.
However, if you want specific training, this can be done after 4-5 months of age.
All puppies need proper training from their owner upon arrival. If you don't want to hire a trainer, there are several resources that can be found online to help you.

Puppy health is our top priority! We inspect puppies at the owner's location from the time of booking to the time of delivery to ensure they are healthy, happy and well cared for. Once you choose your puppy, we will make sure it is properly vaccinated and shows optimal clinical signs to be transported safely. At the same time, you will benefit from a medical guarantee for viral diseases for which vaccination has been carried out (Parvovirus, Jigodie, Hepatitis, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis or Rabies) for a period of 5 days so that you have enough time to confirm the puppy's good health. For added safety, it is recommended that when placing your order you choose a puppy with multiple vaccinations, as this will give your puppy immunity so that it will not become ill from viruses or bacteria in the external environment.

All our puppies receive the necessary vaccinations and internal deworming according to their age, performed by the breeder or veterinarian.

Of course, we microchip all puppies if this has not been done by the breeder, and the microchip code will always be pasted into their health card. Registration in RECS will be completed as soon as you send us a copy of your ID.

This is possible. The identification and verification steps will be carried out by BucuriaCasei, you will indicate the desired specimen from the photos that will be sent to you so that the veterinarian can properly vaccinate the puppy, and then you will be sent the location so that you can personally pick up the chosen puppy.

You can cancel your order at any time by communicating your intention on WhatsApp, by phone or by email. The identification and verification procedures we carry out for each order involve proportionate costs, which is why the amount of the advance payment paid is non-refundable, except in the following situations:

  • the order is less than 7 days old;
  • the order exceeded by more than 30 days the estimate on the ordered breed page (for dogs without pedigree) or the deadline agreed upon order;
  • the order has exceeded by more than 30 days the 6 months term (for pedigree dogs) or the term agreed at the time of order.

Also, even if you fall into one of the points mentioned above, the refund will not be made in the following situations:

  • you have already chosen a puppy that I have reserved for you;
  • you have refused a specimen that was proposed to you, which is why the order fulfillment deadline is extended by the delivery estimate displayed on the ordered breed page.

If you are eligible for a refund of the advance, 20 lei will be deducted from the refunded amount, related to bank fees. It will be paid into the same bank account from which the payment was made, within a maximum of 14 days.
Submitting an order represents a commitment assumed by both parties.

The price consists of the advance payment of 10% which is paid at the time of sending the order and an estimate to be paid upon delivery. In our activity of identifying and verifying the puppies available in the country we will obtain results and photos that we will send you, accompanied by the price difference that you will pay upon receipt. In case the price sent is higher than the estimated one on the site and it does not represent any obligation to accept the offer, we will continue the checks at other breeders. Although we make efforts to regularly update the prices displayed on the site, they should be treated as information.

Border Collie for sale: breed

If you've ever had the pleasure of watching a flock of sheep being herded by a Border Collie, you know you're looking at a craftsman, skilled at maneuvering the sheep exactly where the shepherd wants to take them.

The Border Collie is a medium-sized dog, weighing 13-20 kg, with a seemingly supernatural amount of energy and stamina, a stamina that developed when he had to work all day in the hills and valleys of Scotland, sometimes covering 50 miles or more a day. When it comes to the ideal working dog, there's none better than a Border Collie.

If there's a dark side to the Border Collie breed's energy and workaholic attitude, it comes to the surface when brought into a family that doesn't understand him. This is not a dog to sit on the couch all day. He does not want to be pampered. He wants and needs a job. Maintaining intense mental and physical alertness is exhausting, even exasperating, to an owner or a family who wants a family pet that doesn't need care.

The Border Collie is a pastoral dog, which means it has an overwhelming need to herd a flock. He must have a task, whether it's herding sheep or competing with other dogs. A walk or a game every day is not enough activity for a Border Collie. Its intelligence and malleable nature make it an easy dog to train. He's sensitive and, according to those who know him well, has an uncanny ability to know what you're going to ask before you open your mouth. If well socialized and trained early, he can adapt to almost any situation.

The owner or family who wants to properly socialize and train a Border Collie will find a soul mate in this intelligent, sensitive breed.

Border Collie for sale: brief history

The ancestors of the Border Collie breed emerged when people in Britain today first began using dogs to help guard sheep. On the border between Scotland and England, this dog became one of the shepherds' most prized possessions.

The type varied, depending on the terrain or activity required in each region. These field dogs have become associated with their specific regions. The name Border Collie reflects its partly Scottish heritage: the word collie, which refers to shepherds, is derived from the Scottish dialect.

In 1860, the Scottish Shepherd was present at the second dog show ever held in England. On a trip to Balmoral after a short time, Queen Victoria saw one of the dogs and became an enthusiast of the breed. In 1876, R.J. Lloyd Price brought 100 wild dogs to Alexandra Palace in London for a demonstration. Today, the Border Collie is recognized as a top shepherd dog. The Border Collie was recognized by the American Kennel Club on October 1, 1995.

Border Collie for sale: size

Males are 48 to 56 cm tall and weigh 16-20 kg. Females are 45 to 53 cm tall and weigh 13-18 kg.

Border Collie for sale: personality

Simply put, the Border Collie is a dynamo. Its personality is alert, energetic, industrious and intelligent. This breed likes to be busy. In fact, he has to be busy or he gets bored, which leads to annoying behavior such as barking, digging or chasing cars. Not a dog to sit quietly on the front porch while you enjoy a glass of lemonade, he thrives on activity. Remember that he was bred to run and work all day. Of course, the Border Collie isn't perfect. He can be strong and independent, and his herding can be wrong. In the absence of sheep or other service, he is capable of herding and chasing children or pets. He may also become fearful or timid if he wasn't brought up correctly when he was a small puppy. Dog training and excessive exposure to a variety of people, places and things help sensitize this breed.

Border Collie for sale: health

Border Collies are generally healthy, but like all breeds, they are prone to certain health conditions. Not all dogs will have any of these diseases, but it is important to be aware of them if you are considering this breed.

If you are buying a puppy, find a good breeder who will show you the health records of the puppy's parents. Health certificates prove that a dog has been tested and recovered from a specific condition.

  • Hip dysplasia: This occurs quite frequently in Border Collie. Many factors, including genetics, environment and diet, are thought to contribute to this hip joint deformity. Some dogs affected by this problem may be able to lead a normal, healthy life, but some may require surgery to move around easily.
  • Progressive retinal atrophy (PRA): a degenerative eye disorder. Blindness caused by PRA is a slow process resulting from the loss of photoreceptors in the back of the eye. PRA is detectable years before the dog shows signs of blindness. Their owners must have annual certifications performed by a veterinary ophthalmologist.
  • Epilepsy: This is a neurological condition that is often, but not always, inherited. Epilepsy can cause mild or severe seizures, which can manifest as unusual behavior (such as frantic running) or even by falling, stiff limbs and loss of consciousness. Seizures are frightening to observe, but the long-term prognosis for dogs with idiopathic epilepsy is generally very good. It's important to take your dog to the vet for proper diagnosis (especially since seizures can have other causes) and treatment.
  • Eye abnormality: This is an inherited condition that causes changes and abnormalities of the eye that can sometimes lead to blindness. These changes can include choroidal hypoplasia (an abnormal development of the choroids), coloboma (a defect in the optic disc), staphyloma (a thinning of the sclera) and retinal detachment. The eye abnormality usually appears by the time the dog is two years old. There is no treatment for this condition.
  • Allergies: there are three main types of allergies in dogs: food allergies, which are treated by eliminating certain foods from the dog's diet; contact allergies, which are caused by a reaction to a topical substance such as bedding, fleas, dog shampoos and other chemicals; and inhalant allergies, which are caused by airborne allergens such as pollen, dust and mold. Treatment varies depending on the cause and may include dietary restrictions, medication and environmental changes.
  • Osteochondritis dissecans: This orthopaedic condition, caused by improper growth of cartilage in the joints, usually occurs in the elbows, but has also been seen in the shoulders. It causes painful stiffening of the joint to the point where the dog cannot bend its elbow. It can be detected in dogs as early as four to nine months of age. Feeding can contribute to its development.

Border Collie for sale: care

While the Border Collie is a very adaptable dog, he is best suited to a rural environment. Because he has a penchant for herding and chasing, he must be protected by his instinct not to chase cars.Regardless of the environment, he requires a great deal of mental and physical stimulation every day and needs an owner who is willing and able to provide this. If you're considering this breed, make sure you can provide him with a suitable outlet for his natural energy and enlightened mind. If you don't have a sheep farm, dog shows are a good alternative.

Border Collie for sale: feeding

Recommended daily amount: 1.5 to 2 cups of quality dry food per day, divided into two meals. Note: How much your adult dog eats depends on size, age, build, metabolism and activity level. Dogs are individuals, just like humans, and not all dogs need the same amount of food. It almost goes without saying that an extremely active dog will need more food compared to a less active one. The quality of the dog food you buy also makes a difference - the better the food, the more nutrients and satiety it will provide, without you having to constantly check the bowl.

Border Collie for sale: coat color and grooming

The Border Collie breed boasts two coat types: rough and smooth. Both have double layers, with a thicker outer layer and a soft undercoat. The rough variety has medium-length fur on the legs, chest and belly. The smooth variant has short fur all over, usually thicker in texture than the other variant. Its coat is most often black, with a white flush on the face, neck, legs and tip of the tail, with or without tan. However, it may be any bicolor, tricolor, merle, or solid color except white.

The hardworking Border Collie is not pedantic, and he doesn't need excessive grooming to look good. The weather-resistant double coat needs weekly brushing to keep the oils well distributed. More frequent brushing during shedding season is a good idea to minimize hair loss around the house. Bathe only as needed, about four times a month or when it is very dirty or smells terrible.

Brushing your teeth should be done at least two or three times a week to remove tartar buildup and lurking bacteria. Daily brushing is even better if you want to prevent gum disease and bad breath.

Nail trimming should be done once a month, if necessary, and check your ears once a week for dirt, redness or an unpleasant odor that may indicate an infection, then wipe them weekly with a cotton swab moistened in a special ph-balanced solution to prevent problems.

Border Collie for sale: relationships with children and other animals

The Border Collie is a good family dog as long as it is raised properly and receives training when young. He joins children and other pets, although his herding instinct will cause him to chase and bark at children (especially very young children) and animals, unless his herding instinct is otherwise directed. As with every breed, however, you must teach children how to approach and touch dogs and always supervise any interaction between them to prevent any biting. Teach your child never to approach the dog while eating or sleeping or to try to take the dog's food. No dog, however friendly, should be left unattended with a child.
